Wesley is a true musician. He remembers playing the saxophone in highschool band and knowing he wanted to capture that feeling for the rest of his life. It was then that his life goal was determined: to always be surrounded by music.
Over the years since then, that’s exactly what he’s done. Wesley attended Belmont University where he studied Commercial Music and expanded his musical skill set – he is also a talented piano and flute player. He has performed professionally since he graduated high school and was even most recently the bandleader for Holland America cruise lines for 5 years! Can you say ‘impressive’? Cause we just did!
Now? Now he’s found a home with the DJ Cuttlefish team where he DJs weddings and special events.
Wesley’s favorite part of DJing is the look on people’s faces when their favorite songs come on. He finds joy in being the facilitator of that happiness. When preparing for an event, he believes that research is the most important part and ensures that he knows what the audience will enjoy so he can arrive ready to pack the floor.
Wesley describes his DJ style as eclectic, energetic and entertaining. A good time for him consists of smiling faces and happy feet on the dance floor!
In his off time, you can find Wesley partaking in other art forms – drawing and painting, or keeping himself healthy with exercise. Wesley is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish!
Wesley’s personality traits fall exactly in line with his DJ style, making him a blast to work with. He is kind, knowledgeable, and carries a special energy with him that is undeniably contagious. He prides himself in his ability to make people feel comfortable and believes this is part of his success as an entertainer. 10/10 a dream DJ!
