Jamel comes from a family of musicians and has been a career musician his entire adulthood. He comes with years of experience in live music and entertainment where he had the joy of traveling the world as a professional musician who hosted parties aboard a cruise ship and performed as a drummer in a band. He writes his own original music and has recorded in many studios.
Now? Now he’s found a home with the DJ Cuttlefish team where he DJs weddings and special events in Atlanta.

His favorite part of DJing is bringing people together for a good time through music by curating the energy in a room and getting to be a part of the intimate moments in peoples lives.
When preparing for events, Jamel loves to connect with his clients to get a feel for their likes and hopes so he can pull the best music. He makes sure he has all the equipment needed and spends time making sure he looks good and feels good so he can give the event his all.
Jamel describes his DJ style as creative, energetic, and professional while describing his personal style as smooth, confident, and laid back. His go to dance move is the Dougie and you can find him sneaking a piece of cake at every event.
Jamel believes a party is successful when there’s good music, good food, and people who want to have a good time. A good time for Jamel is when he’s smiling, laughing, and comfortable with his surroundings.
